I AM Gaia

I AM Gaia is a part of my I AM series of sculptures. The top stone is basalt, and the body is onyx. Gaia is the primordial goddess of the Earth, often depicted as the mother of all life. She is considered a primal deity, one of the first beings to emerge after Chaos, the emptiness – OM place. In this context, Gaia is the embodiment of the Earth itself.
